Hand hammered:  This is a picture from the back side showing how the "raising up" looks.. it is done by hammering on a soft surface such as lead or pitch from behind.  Then they are rehammered on the front to emphasize the features.  These techniques are known as chasing and repoussé.

Paul specializes in bears, turtles and hearts.  However he will do special orders now!!!

The smaller size is about 1 & 1/2 inches long 1 & 1/8th inch at it's widest point - $100

The larger size is about 2 inches long and 1 & 3/4 inches at it's widest point - $175

Pendants do range in sizes and bolos are also available- see below.

Pendants are hand hammered, filed, and buffed. Paul's work shows the kind of attention to detail and fine craft work rarely found today. The Pendants come in several shapes, and use a variety of subjects, favorites are turtles, bears, beavers, double curves and hearts. These make great Valentine and anniversary presents or a great heirloom quality gift for any occasion.   If you have a design, such as an animal in mind, Paul will not be able to do  special orders

Both these small ones sold-  Small Pendants with beads are $100

Heart design $175

The traditional old style kissing otter design with hearts is $225 each

    penmturt.jpg (6650 bytes)      pendantturt2.jpg (5458 bytes)

   $175                              $175                                  $175                             Small turtle- $100

$155 Small and $250  These are pictures of a dogwood flower small pendant.  I learned to make flowers in silver from Master silver chaser Frank V. Kulik one of the last great silver master's in the US.  I've added double curves around the edges and the flower itself signifies the 4 directions and is beautiful like and a symbol of prayer (4 for Christians as the cross & for traditionalists as the 4 directions and seasons of the earth cycles)

penmbeav.jpg (7101 bytes)            pendant03.jpg (3068 bytes)     The beaver and eagle were special orders that sold.  I've done wolves, cougars,  buffalo and others but need to charge a little more on special orders as they take some special design work - figure about $250 for a good size special order.  I may have some other animals on here at $275 as I get inspired to create.

We also carry bolos at $150 each for those who need a "tie" at work (or play).  None are in stock right now.

                                     $150

close ups of bear with blueberries and various double curve designs signifying new life and renewal.  The bear symbolizes healing as it digs for medicine roots and plants and transformation as it sleeps all winter and comes out refreshed in the spring.

Turtles represent our earth and our calendar with the 13 moons (12 months in between the moons) found on the turtle's back.  Inside the turtle is the heartbeat that is so strong to sustain our planets life. It is said that a turtles heart beats a long time even after it is killed (I haven't checked on this myself).  Turtles are special to me - it was one name that came down in my family as woman's name - my grandmother's generation- Helen Merritt Smith was named "Little Turtle".  My (Paul's) clan is Bear so the Bear is also important to him.  Other designs can be ordered and done for bolos.

               Special order- $150

We have many pendants including dollar coins.  The old silver dollars are mostly uncirculated 1921s.  Sometimes we have circulated other dates.  The "Eisenhower" Dollar we call Eagle Landing on the moon since it commemorates the space ship that landed there named "the eagle".  I had heard back in my younger days (late 60s early 70s) when in New England AIM, that the eagle landing on the moon fulfilled an old (Hopi?) prophesy about the Indian spirit returning after that eagle would land on the moon.  Us young activists and others wanting to see a renewal of our old ways really thought that was a neat symbol.  We hope it holds true still- there is allot of need for our old Indian spirit  as our languages and ways continue to be lost-  this pendant serves as a reminder (not Ike).  These are in stock and can be made into necklaces with a choice of glass beads bone hair pipes etc. before being sent to you:

  $40              $25
