Over the years Paul René's brooches have mostly sold, but we still have some Andrea has been wearing - see the photo of her blue yoke she wears with her ceremonial clothes, it has 3 pieces of silver including the large "platter" brooch in the center. Paul René will being doing more brooches over the next few months and we have many photos here (color red for past stock) to give you ideas if you want to do a special order - $150 to $300 range.   The brooches we have are thicker sterling silver than many of the old ones.. about 22 guage, which is a good thickness for silver "heirloom quality" as was done for many silver companies such as Towle.  If you want öld style"many were much thinner as the silver was hammered to stretch out quantity, we can do those on order for reenactors, etc.  We are not trying to copy the past but we are traditional artists today - in a continuing tradition, so our usual pieces use a heavier silver.
