We include Indigenous knowledge and skills from the communities we work with. The emphasis is on the Indigenous peoples of North America (often known by various names such as, American Indian, Amerindian, Native American, Melungeon, First Nation, Métis and Aboriginal Canadian, among others).
Sunrise Drum Arts provides artwork by Paul René Tamburro including hand-wrought heirloom quality silver and copper, wood carving, stone carving, and other traditional artwork of the Northeastern Native American and Aboriginal Cultures of Woodland Canada. We also carry contemporary and antique Amerindian art, other antiques, baskets, porcupine quillwork and beadwork. Our focus is the style of the eastern woodlands including both the Southeastern (reflecting Shawnee, Cherokee, Choctaw and Creek art traditions) and Northeastern (reflecting Wabanaki, Lenape, coastal Algonquian & Haudenosaunee /Iroquois art traditions).
